Nexa Autocolor

Nexa Autocolor® offers a comprehensive product range, which builds confidence through consistent quality. All of our products are tested to ensure they meet the highest repair standards.

The 2K™ color system was built from the ground-up by a team of scientists in the United Kingdom, starting with a unique resin system to deliver excellent dispersion of the complex range of pigments required to match modern vehicles. This was the same team of scientists who developed the world’s first waterborne basecoat for automotive refinish, Aquabase, launched in Europe in 1992, and the first UV curable primer in the industry. The system has been optimized, working closely with pigment suppliers around the world, and the manufacturers of the most modern dispersion equipment, to deliver precisely the same color every time. The color is tested using unique test methods, developed in house by our team of color scientists to ensure the quality of the match.

Today, Nexa Autocolor is an industry leader in automotive refinishing products and offers a full-line of high-quality products and services and helps to deliver performance, productivity and profitability while meeting the demands of government regulations.

Daily News Tuesday, November 20, 2007

There are indications that the deadline for conversion to low-VOC automotive refinish paints could be later than the Jan. 1, 2009 date Environment Canada originally proposed. At a waterborne paint information session presented by BASF in mid-November, Environment Canada’s Guy Gagné said, “Presently, Jan. 1, 2009, is the stop sell date (for non-compliant materials). However, we’ve received many comments from the industry about that deadline, so right now we’re examining the situation. We may grant an extension, but it is not approved yet.” The proposed regulations are currently going through Environment Canada’s approval process prior to publication in Canada Gazette Part I. Publication in Gazette Part I was expected in 2007, but Gagné says January 2008 is now a more likely time frame. Several industry organizations had voiced concerns with the Jan. 1, 2009 deadline. Even if the implementation date of the VOC regulations is extended, shop conversions to low-VOC products must continue at a steady pace if all 7000 to 8000 shops in Canada are to be converted before the deadline.
